Attendance and Missed Lessons
You must pay for all lessons whether taken or missed. No refunds or adjustments are available for missed lessons. If you must miss a lesson, as a courtesy, please notify your teacher in advance. Teachers will make up (or prorate) one lesson per month due to illness if notified at least six hours prior to the lesson. Lessons missed for other reasons (vacations, lack of transportation, other scheduled appointments, etc.) will not be made up.
Occasionally our teachers accept professional performance opportunities. When this occurs and requires the cancellation of your lesson, your teacher will work carefully to offer you a suitable make-up lesson. Teachers will also offer make-up lessons for any lessons they themselves miss.
Legal holidays observed by PBA during the course of the semesters (Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Martin Luther King Day) are considered Preparatory Department holidays. Teachers will offer make-up lessons to students for private lessons that fall on those days. Group lessons and classes will be canceled and not made up on those days.

Conduct
Palm Beach Atlantic University expects its faculty, staff, students, and visitors to adhere to an exemplary standard of conduct. Any student, parent, or accompanying visitor exhibiting improper behavior or conduct (e.g. disrespect of teachers or other parents, disrespectful language, loud or raucous behavior, or damaging property) will be asked to leave the campus and/or the program. The PBA campus is a smoke-free, drug-free area. Campus Security will eject persons from campus who are observed using alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances. Students in the Preparatory Department are held to the same conduct codes as university students and will be dismissed from the program if they are found using such products.
